  • About Us

  • The Huntsville Walker County Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1934 to improve the business climate in Huntsville and the surrounding areas.  It is a volunteer-driven organization that unites business and professional leaders in the area to expand the economy.  The chamber provides a venue through which members and volunteers can get involved and accomplish collectively what no one business could do alone.  Today, we are a community organization working to recognize the factors which affect our community and adjust our programs accordingly.  We focus on issues affecting the cities throughout Walker County

    Our Mission:  To promote an environment to enhance the economic success of business in Walker County.

    Our purposes include:

    • to promote the human and environmental resources of Walker County;
    • to promote economic programs and activities designed to strengthen and expand the income potential within Walker county;
    • to promote programs and activities of a civic, social and cultural nature which are designed to increase the functional and aesthetic values of the community;
    • to encourage high ethical standards in all business and professional activities;
    • to speak for the Chamber’s members in city, county, state and national legislative and governmental matters while maintaining a non-partisan and non-sectarian philosophy and approach
